Women’s Ministry

Women of Grace

...is a community of women whose purpose is to know God, and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Local Organization Meetings

Women of Grace is comprised of five Circles of women.  The five Circles are purposely created to enable all women to find a time and place that meets their schedules.

Circle of Hope meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 10:00 am in a members home.

Primary focus:

  • Spiritual growth, social and environmental programs

Rebecca Circle meets on the second Thursday of each month in a member’s homes at 7:00 pm.

Primary focus:

  • SafeHouse of Seminole

  • Women’s Prison Ministries - Note cards, pads of paper, pens, etc. are collected and placed in packets so that the Women may have materials to write to their loved ones

Threads of Kindness meets the second and fourth Thursdays each month in the Annex building at 10:00 am.

Primary focus:

  • Fellowship and to knit, sew and crochet items for cancer patients, babies and others.

Women at the Table  (younger women) meets the last Thursday each month at the church or a local restaurant at 7:00 pm.

Primary focus:

  • Fellowship

  • Children's issues

2nd Saturday Circle is our newest Circle and still under development.

Primary focus:

  • Helping those in need

Helping women and children is the major emphasis for our organization.  There are many opportunities to assist our community.  They include, but are definitely not limited to:

  • Bake Sale – The Rebecca Circle provides home-baked items every other month on the 3rd Sunday for donations. Proceeds are used for Women of Grace missions.

  • PURSES FOR LADIES AT THE SAFE HOUSE OF SEMINOLE – Every Christmas we sew 40 purses for the ladies at the Safe House.  We fill them with treats such as make up, lotions, jewelry and whatever may bring a smile.

  • MAKING EMERGENCY KITS FOR THOSE IN NEED – These kits are given to people around the country during times of emergency such as hurricanes or floods.  Each bag allows a person to take care of personal hygiene care when they have lost their homes, etc.

  • USING YOUR CREATIVE TALENTS – Sewing, knitting, and crocheting abilities are always in demand making items in support of those in need.  Soft caps for cancer patients and sleep mats for the homeless have been among some recent mission focuses.
